The calm after the storm

This photo was the rain fall the day after the fire was put out and then this beautiful rainbow followed....Just a beautiful reminder that God is aware!

July 4th Alpine Fire

We ventured out to have a camp out in the back yard of Nicks parents house (a 4th of July tradition) and when we were driving there we noticed a cloud of smoke coming from the mountains in Alpine and knew a fire was a brewin! As we arrived we watched for a while before we had to evacuate because the fire was too close.  So we ended up spending the night in a hotel up in Salt Lake.  In the morning we returned and pretty much watched the fire burn most the day.  Although we were able to enjoy fireworks I guess we had our own firework show going on all day

While Mom is away part 2....

Dad had many adventures up his sleeve while I was away! The kids were so worn out! Fun, boy bonding time for them!

Started out with some ceral...guess kitty decided to join in

After breakfast they headed out to Tracy Aviaries to see the birds

 Had to get their hands stamped

After seeing all the birds they headed over to Liberty Park and played in the splash pad...Nick said they were soaked for the drive home...oh well!

Another successful day with Dad!
