Fun in the snow!!

Today I went skiing with Nick and my little sister Tracy, who is in town. She is currently living in New York working as a nanny and also has a job as a hair stylist! It's been so fun having her home. It has been so long since we have skied together (with my sister that is) we grew up on the slopes cause my Dad ski patrolled at Brighton ski resort, pretty much from when we were born, til our high school years. So we had years of dirt cheap skiing! Boy we miss those days. Paying full price sucks! luckily today we skied free cause my Dad is good friends with the owner of Brighton and pulled a few strings. Thanks Dad!

This was me in action. I have to say I was a lot more cautious today than I normally am. Being pregnant is one reason and another reason is because 2 years ago, almost to date, I tore my ACL skiing at Alta. This was my first time back with out a brace, or really since the injury. It was a little scary...but I think I did alright. I can feel how it is still a bit weaker then my other leg. So I just took it easy today. It was a lot of fun.

Kitty in the christmas tree

Ok, so let's just say I was dreading to put up Christmas this year... cause last year we could not keep the cat out of the Christmas tree. It would make me so mad that when Christmas was done I could not wait to take the stupid tree down. So when I put up Christmas this year I just expected that the cat would get in the tree again...So I decided to just relax and enjoy it and not worry if she was knocking down all the perfectly displayed ornaments. So, even though it bugs me deep down I am just trying to just relax and stay calm. For those of you who have tried, you know you can't discipline a cat. The more I get mad at her for doing it the more she does it. So if any of you come over and our tree ornaments and ribbon look a little misplaced then you will all know why!!!

Yellowstone

This was us freezing our butts off in Yellowstone the first week in October. We went with Nick's family and stayed in the cutest little cabins. It was pretty surprising to us that it snowed when we were there. I only had packed some chaco sandals and capri's expecting it to be as warm as it was in salt lake at the time. Boy was I surprised... So I was a little miserable. Even though I was painfully cold we had a blast! Yellowstone is one of the most beautiful places on earth...and it had such a different kind of beauty with all the snow. I have never seen Yellowstone with snow. So I loved every minute of it. We saw a lot of wild life too.

Rock Climbing AF canyon

Nick and I went climbing with Cindy and Ryan up American Fork Canyon. This was back in September so it was a while back but since I am so new to this blogging stuff I am just trying to catch up on somethings we did this summer. Lately since it's cold outside, Nick and I have been climbing at Momentum the new climbing gym by REI. It's not as fun as outside but it's fun enough!

Hiking Timp

This is Nick and I hiking Timp with Nicks Mom and Brother Cam. It was so much fun. Barb (nicks mom) was working hard all summer hiking to Timp cave every morning for exercise and we wanted to see if it was really paying off so we decided to hike to the top of Timp. And boy did all her hard work pay off. She flew up the mountain!! There was no stopping her from getting to the top. It was a beautiful day in September when the leaves were starting to change so it was so pretty! I love fall. Although I will have to say it was miserably cold up top! All in all we couldn't have hiked on a better day. We are excited to do it again next year.

Ok so since my cat inspired me to do a blog I thought that I must include a picture! haha...ok so maybe I am a little insecure that I don't have cute pictures to post of my kids like all of you do. But some day I will, just you all wait!! I really do love our little cat! If Cindy see's this she will make so much fun of me.

We have joined the blogging world

Well I have many times attempted to make a blog and only got so far. I always felt hesitant cause Nick and I don't have kids yet and I really wondered what pictures I would post or what exciting things I could possibly share (cause nick and I are kinda boring) but then I realized we have a wonderful, beautiful cat named Sojo and so I could share posts about me, nick and the cat. I realized my idea was genius and decided to join the blogging world. hehe!
