adjusting to motherhood

I just wanted to quickly update some new photos of our little guy. He is officially 4 1/2 weeks now and I can't believe it. It's been exhausting, very fun and rewarding. I can't even tell you how amazing of a dad Nick is. I think that has been the best part, to watch Nick with Nolan. He changes his diapers with out even being told, he snuggles him, holds him, rocks him to sleep, baths him, and I think he would feed him if he could :) He is the best father and It truly makes me love him more just by watching how he is with Nolan. It's amazing how much I have depended on Nick for help and support these last few weeks. They have definitely been challenging and I have come to realize that I don't know how single moms do it??? I feel so lucky to be married to a man that is so involved. Thanks Nick for all your help and support, our little guy is so lucky to have a Dad like you!


This is what we have been swaddling him in at night. I got it as a shower gift from my cousin Sarah and it's seriously been the best thing ever...so thanks sarah!!
